Soil Cement on US 84, Andalusia, AL. Approximately 267,000 SY of 8″ Soil Cement placed as an aggregate base layer on US 84. AG Peltz performed this project utilizing an Aran Mixing Plant and ABG Paver. The soil-cement base was designed and tested in accordance with ALDOT 416-05 Laboratory Design of Soil-Cement, and Section 304-Soil Cement. Our mix design was based on achieving a PSI of 450 @ 7 days, which met ALDOT acceptable range of 250-500 PSI. This was ALDOT’s Test Project for Soil Cement. The Specification were amended & adopted following the completion of this project and is currently being utilized by ALDOT.
