Delivering Exceptional RCC Solutions for Coca-Cola Facilities in Georgia
In February 2019, A.G. Peltz Group, LLC completed the placement of 62,151 square yards of 7-inch Roller Compacted Concrete (RCC) at the Coca-Cola South Metro Sales Warehouse in Union City, GA. The project showcased the versatility and durability of RCC in a complex site environment. Material mixing was expertly handled using an Aran 280C Pugmill, while placement was achieved with precision utilizing both a Vogele 2100 and an ABG Titan 8820 High-Density Paver.
The project site presented unique challenges due to its intricate paving layout and numerous obstacles, including drains, valves, and fire hydrants. This required seamless coordination among A.G. Peltz Group, the prime contractor Brasfield & Gorrie, and the grading contractor Plateau Excavating. Despite these complexities, the team delivered paving widths ranging from 12 to 24.5 feet, with transverse saw cuts generally spaced at 12 to 15 feet for added durability. The surface was finished with a standard troweling machine to achieve a smooth and polished aesthetic. National Cement played a key role as the supplier of high-quality cement for the project.
Building on this success, A.G. Peltz Group partnered again with Brasfield & Gorrie in 2020 to complete a second Coca-Cola facility in Tifton, GA. This project featured 32,155 square yards of 7-inch RCC pavement, further demonstrating the efficiency and reliability of RCC for industrial applications.
